More literature resources

My search has lead to more sources http://www.xml.com/pub/a/2004/08/11/rest.html and http://www.xml.com/pub/a/2005/03/02/restful.html and http://webservices.xml.com/pub/a/ws/2003/09/30/soa.html I think these are going to give me a simpler view of what I need to implement.

I think that I have a clear idea of what the http methods represent. GET retrieves a resource from the url. PUT creates a resource at the URL. POST creates or updates the resource at the end of the URL. DELETE deletes the resource at the end of the URL.

It seems to be suggested that the URL should take the form of /the rest of the steps to lead to the resource.
